If you haven’t met him yet, our star is Curtis, a curious and spirited curly-tailed lizard. He doesn’t know it yet, but he’s about to embark on the journey of a lifetime, where he’ll discover courage, face new challenges, and learn the true meaning of home. In this episode, he awakes from a cozy sleep on the beach to find he’s not alone, for better or for worse…
Elaine and the Luck Dragon Media team are so excited to finally put Curtis’s story out there. As one of our first big productions, Curtis will hold a special place in this companies heart for a long time, and it’s only just the beginning!
Behind the Scenes with Brad Peterson
As more episodes of Curtis come out, I want to take you behind the scenes a bit and go through what we do at the studio every day! This time, I’m highlighting Brad: our lead animator, character designer, and the voice of Curtis himself!
“This project has been challenging,” he said in reflection, “but rewarding. I’m learning a lot.” We’ve done a lot of new things to bring Curtis to the screen, but he highlighted one challenge in particular, “running on sand is really hard to animate!”
It seems like Brad’s most excited to introduce the audience to our fun cast of characters, “[Curtis] won’t be alone for long!” Rumor has it, episode 2 has a few new feathery friends in the mix, (and not just mean ol’ seagulls!)
